Tonight’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a rebroadcast from October, but we still have some tasty AoS news. We have a big love for the expanding and intertwining Marvel Universe here at SciFi Mafia, the opening segment for the AoS/Thor crossover being one of the best bits of the TV series so far.
We’re going to get more AoS/Thor crossover later this season, as Marvel has announced that Jaimie Alexander is set to reprise her excellent Thor role as Sif on AoS episode 15. Here’s what we get from Marvel.com:
Last seen in “Thor: The Dark World”—now the third largest grossing Marvel Studios film—Sif has come to Earth with a very specific mission. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you just what brings her to our neck of the woods just yet.
Zap2It was able to get a little bit more from Chloe Bennet, who plays hacker Skye on the series: “It probably might feel even more like [a crossover] because of why [Lady Sif] comes to Earth… You’ll have to wait and see. I get nervous. [Marvel] probably put a bug on me.” Cool.
In other AoS news, Stan Lee will be making a more-than-cameo appearance on the next new episode to air, February 4’s “T.R.A.C.K.S.”, and Bill Paxton (Edge of Tomorrow, Twister) will be joining for at least four episodes, beginning around the end of February, according to TV Guide. He’ll be playing “a rough-and-tumble former cohort of Agent Coulson [Clark Gregg] with a little bit of attitude and cigar-smoking swagger,” according to executive producer Jed Whedon. Sounds like sort of an Adam Baldwin-type character.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., starring Clark Gregg, Brett Dalton, Ming-na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Chloe Bennet, airs Tuesdays at 8/7c, on ABC.
