Earth to Echo is shaping up to be a wonderful “found-footage” style movie that follows the adventure of a group of kids who happen upon something from out of this world. If you have a soft spot in your heart for E.T. then this movie looks to be your 2014 version. Check out the poster, synopsis and trailer below. I’ve got a really good feeling about this one.

When a group of young friends begin to receive bizarre encrypted messages on their cellphones, they embark on an incredible adventure to discover the meaning behind these communications. Soon enough, they realize that the messages they are receiving are from a mysterious being from another world –  one who desperately needs their help.

That final bit at the end is a really beautiful site that is minimalist at the moment with just the final question (after poking it for a bit) being, “If you received a signal for help, would you answer it?”

Earth to Echo starring Astro, Teo Halm, Reese C. Hartwig and Ella Wahlestedt is slated to hit theaters April 25, 2014.
