In  July, we brought you casting news of Game of Thrones Dothraki warrior Elyes Gabel joining the cast and also of actors Matthew Fox (Lost) and Ed Harris (Man on a Ledge) leaving the cast of the zombie drama, World War Z, starring Brad Pitt. Fox had previously been reported as forced to vacate the film, due to scheduling conflicts with I, Alex Cross, which started shooting this month.

From the looks of this on-set snap of World War Z from Zimbio, Matthew Fox is indeed still in the film.

According to THR, three-time Emmy winner and Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston may be added onto the cast in an intriguing “small but notable role” in the zombie film that takes place a decade into global zombie domination. Cranston is currently in talks to join the cast.

How do you feel about a good dose of zombie survival for your holiday season? THR also reports that Paramount has set a winter holiday premiere date for the big-screen adaptation of the Max Brooks book. World War Z is slated to hit theaters on December 21, 2012.

World War Z is directed by Marc Forster. The script was written by Matthew Michael Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski.
