Just last week, we brought you some details and a look at an early script draft of David E. Kelley’s upcoming reboot of the Wonder Woman television series with NBC, and prior to that we reported that David E. Kelley was looking to tap McG (Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Terminator Salvation) to direct the first episode of the hour-long series.

Now, Deadline reports that McG had been in talks but couldn’t make a deal because of a scheduling conflict with a feature commitment, and Jeffrey Reiner (The Event, Trauma) will now be taking the reigns of the new Wonder Woman pilot for NBC.

The show is said to be launching in the fall and will head into production soon.
