WOLVERINE Sequel Heading To Japan In January

Production on the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine is reportedly scheduled to start next January. Screenwriter/Oscar winner Christopher McQuarrie’s completed script, will see Wolverine head to Japan where, in a nod to the classic Frank Miller-Chris Claremont story arc from the comics, he falls in love with a Japanese actress. Filming will start in January, 2011. No director has been attached to the project yet.

“It’s a beautiful story and will be very different than the first film,” said an insider.
