This week we’re covering Stream.

Stream is a six part web series from FEARnet starring Whoopi Goldberg. It’s about a woman who, since she was a teenager, has believed she has suffered from schizophrenia. Really she has been having visions of the future. For the first time in her 50’s she’s able to recall back to moments in the past where she has been streaming the future, her now present. This series gets two star deductions for the following reasons. First of all because it was only meant to be six episodes and the ending is pretty unsatisfactory, and second because it’s just sort of “Meh.” The reason you should watch it is because it is not really all that much of a time commitment, but mostly because it’s a really good idea that was pretty poorly executed. The first three episodes (while blissfully short) are wasted build-up that you sort of have to suffer through to get to the fourth and most content-meaty of the bunch.

This is a great idea for a show; maybe by sharing it, someone out there can do this better!
