WB Messes With the Space-Time Continuum by Altering the Release of Alfonso Cuaron’s GRAVITY

Back in December, we brought you the official synopsis for the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney starred sci-fi flick Gravity, written by Alfonso Cuarón and his son, Jonas Cuarón. Now, Warner Bros. Pictures has shifted the official release date for the film.

Gravity focuses on the character of Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission. By her side is veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney), in command of his last flight before retiring. On a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone –tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth… and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 21st, 2012, the film is now slated to hit theaters on “an unspecified date in 2013”.

We will keep you updated.
