Eariler today we brought you some new artwork for the forthcoming Joss Whedon directed Marvel Superhero team-up movie, The Avengers. While it wasn’t a plan to have today become Avengers day, it’s starting to work out that way. Last month, we brought you a clip from the Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) short film that will be attached to the THOR Blu-ray when it’s released this month.

In addition to that short film, which bridges the gap between Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk, the Blu-ray also includes another short entitled “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer“, which aims to bridge the gap between Iron Man 2 and THOR. Today, we bring you a featurette included on the Thor Blu-ray called “Road to The Avengers“, along with the entire short film The Consultant starring Clark Gregg. Check them both out below!

THOR directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg and Colm Feore is slated to hit Blu-ray and DVD on September 13th, 2011.

The Avengers starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston is slated to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.
