Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired a sci-fi/action script called RISE, penned by first time screenwriter David Karlak, who teamed up with Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw). Details on the project are being kept hush-hush, but Roy Lee (Old Boy) and Underground, along with Lawrence Grey (The Apocalypse) will produce the project.

Karlak was the VFX Supervisor on The Collector, and garnered some acclaim as director on the short film The Candidate.
