I have a confession to make. The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” has been the best guilty pleasure this television season for me and here’s why: Even though the premise seems like a “Twilight” clone and is based on a young adult series about a human girl caught between two vampire brothers, how executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson have adapted this series for television has yielded incredibly attractive characters and jaw-dropping plot points punctuating a dynamic season that has kept me on the edge of my seat! Seriously, if you have not given this series a try, please do. It is seriously like crack.
The show stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, the human girl and Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder as vampire brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore.

Kevin Williamson describes the season finale as such:
“Founder’s Day will serve as the backdrop for the final showdown between the tomb vampires and the town council — placing all of our characters in deadly jeopardy.”
Here are a few SPOILERS for you! The season finale will have:
- A double death! (One younger character and one older character. And dead for really reals.)
- Alaric will survive and may become a regular cast member next season!
“Vampire Diaries” is one of the CW’s highest rated shows and is renewed for another season. (Squee!)
