The first episode of the highly anticipated remake of the iconic 80’s miniseries delivered solid ratings Tuesday evening for ABC. The Visitors debuted to 14.3 million viewers and delivered the best adults 18-49 numbers for any series premiere this fall.

“V” finished with a 5.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and the audience grew during the second half-hour, which is generally an encouraging sign for a show.

The premiere also gave ABC its best adults 18-49 rating in the timeslot in three years, and was the best 8 p.m. drama debut on any network since “Lost” in 2004.
