Back in April, we brought you news that Universal Pictures had their trigger finger on a sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman and that they had been in talks with scribe David Koepp (Men in Black III, Spider-Man) to pen the sequel with hopes to snag director Rupert Sanders to return.
Deadline reports that Universal Pictures is indeed moving ahead with this sequel. Koepp has begun writing the script but haven’t locked in Sanders yet to direct. Snow White and the Huntsman is performing better than critics expected in the international box office and will have to keep up the pace to recoup what it cost to make the film. So far, it has made $118 million internationally against a price tag of $170 million. Still no word if this sequel is indeed to focus on Chris Hemsworth’s Huntsman character or not.
