Summary:
What if time could be turned back to stop a horrific terrorist attack? How far would you go to protect the future you have come to know? Those are the deadly stakes in the stunning first season finale of Syfy’s popular series Continuum, airing Monday, March 18 at 8PM (ET/PT).
The time traveling police drama’s thrilling premiere season comes to a shocking conclusion when Kiera (Rachel Nichols) fights a ticking clock to prevent a cataclysmic act of terrorism, while the place in history of Alec (Erik Knudsen) and Julian (guest star Richard Harmon) becomes defined by the success – or failure – of the tragic event.
What a ride it’s been. I’ve just loved watching this show, and Monday you’re in for treat when the finale for Continuum Season One airs. It’s the perfect finale mix of bunches of questions being answered and new questions asked to hold us through into season 2.
Keira (Rachel Nichols) has been up against the terrorist Liber8 week after week and in this episode we see their plan taken to dramatic heights. And after last week’s show down at the farm we’re all looking at Julian (Richard Harmon) with more suspicion. The final scene is not to be missed, so get your affairs in order before you start watching and just plan on staying in your favorite chair until it’s all over, because there’s a lot of action and the last few minutes are packed with new information.
What I love most about this episode is that it is a true season finale. You would not mistake this episode for a regular Monday episode, and when the credits roll, it’s too soon. But miracle of miracles we don’t have to wait long. Season 2 production has been under way for a while and Rachel Nichols announced via the Showcase YouTube a few weeks ago that the premiere date for Canada will be April 21st. Cross your fingers we get it soon after (or even maybe if we’re especially good the same day?).
