HBO’s True Blood marketing people have really come through for the fans. Instead of the time-consuming (if addictive) alternate reality games (ARGs) that some series have done in the past, they’re giving the fans some wonderful – oh, let’s call them love bites. Equally addicting but much less time-consuming (and job threatening).
First, for Facebook users, they’ve gone the extra mile Tron: Legacy-style and created a really exquisite way to see more of your favorite characters PLUS YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS in a made-for-Facebook clip. So. Very. Cool. Click here to go to the True Blood – Immortalize Yourself page, then click on “Immortalize” on the left sidebar. It says “make your video” but all you actually do is grant permission for the program to access your info and friends list, and the program generates the video. You can even share the video that’s created, but of course keep in mind your friends’ privacy settings. The program appears to incorporate at least a few different friends every time you “create”, so it’s a never-ending source of giggles and squees. Enjoy!
