Last month we brought you all the news surrounding the whirlwind casting for Veronica Roth’s movie adaptation of her novel Divergent. Presently the production has already begun in Chicago, and they have added another big name to the supporting cast.

Ashley Judd (Olympus Has Fallen) will be playing Tris’ (Shailene Woodley) mother Natalie Prior, according to THR. Her character is a member of the Abnegation Faction of this futuristic dystopia.  She prizes selflessness and charity above all other things.

Divergent, starring Kate Winslet, Shailene Woodley, Aaron Eckhart, Ashley Judd, Ray Stevenson,  Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Miles Teller, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz,  Maggie Q, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, and Christian Madsen is slated to hit theaters on March 21, 2014.
