TORCHWOOD: MIRACLE DAY to Premiere In July

What if Death was suddenly absent? How would you deal with immortality? This is what happens on Miracle Day. Mark your calendars, folks. Torchwood: Miracle Day premieres on Starz on Friday, July 8, 2011. Showrunner Russell T. Davies teases the Brit hit come stateside for its fourth season:

“Not a single person on Earth dies. The old stay old. It’s great news for some people, but globally it’s an instant population boom. Earth relies on people dying. Suddenly you’re affecting everyone on the planet. That’s where the Torchwood team comes in.”

As you may remember at the end of the last season of Torchwood and the special miniseries, Children of Earth, the Torchwood team suffered several losses, but Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) continue on with the mission. This season will see the addition of several new faces including Mekhi Phfifer (ER), Alexa Havins (All My Children), Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), and Bill Pullman (Too Big To Fail).
