Top Cow has announced a worldwide release for its Bible, a compendium detailing the characters and history of the Top Cow Universe.

Previously the Top Cow Bible was only available as a Comic-Con International exclusive.

Marvel and DC already produce a series of encyclopedias and ‘secret files’ that attempt to make sense of their long, interconnected continuities.

“The project started out and was intended to be a ‘quick and easy’ project, just put together some information and art for the fans and people who might be interested in what we do,” Top Cow publisher and editor-in-chief Filip Sablik told Newsarama.

“Once we actually got into the production of the book we realised what a mammoth undertaking it was.”

Top Cow was founded in 1992 by comics creator Mark Silvestri.

The Top Cow Bible is planned for release on October 7.
