THOR Writer To Adapt Ape Entertainment’s FREAKSHOW

Mark Protosevich will reportedly adapt Ape Entertainment‘s forthcoming comic mini-series Freakshow for the big-screen. Protosevich, who was the screenwriter for Marvel’s upcoming feature film Thor will write the script for Freakshow and will produce alongside Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) and Jennifer Klein (Pearl Harbor) and may make his directorial debut with Freakshow as well.

Freakshow revolves around five young people who are turned into mutants with special powers after a chemical explosion and they must decide whether to use their powers to save the city or to exact revenge on those responsible for the explosion.

The series will hit shelves in January and was created by Jackson Lanzing and David Server, with artwork by Joe Suitor. Ape Entertainment will be selling advance copies of the comic book at San Diego Comic-Con this week.

Protosevich is currently writing the theatrical adaptation of BioWare‘s hit video game Mass Effect.
