Back in October, we brought you the news when Marvel Studios officially announced that director Patty Jenkins (Monster) would be taking over director Kenneth Branagh‘s seat at the helm of Thor 2, which is being penned by Don Payne.

Now, Deadline reports that Jenkins has departed the project, due to creative differences. Marvel Studios is now searching for a replacement director, which is expected to happen rather quickly in order for the project to meet its November 2013 release date.

Thor 2 is slated to hit theaters on November 15th, 2013.
