I had not read The Giver as a child but last week remedied that, and will be posting a review soon. I didn’t dive too deep into the grumblings that I started hearing after the first trailer was posted for fear of spoiling myself, but we’ll say, shall we, that the trailer was probably more colorful than it ought to have been.

In the book The Giver, without giving too much away, there are times that are colored, and there are times that aren’t and when the trailer dropped in full color many readers were really confused. This featurette will put your minds at ease. It did mine, and I think the biggest contribution to that ease was Lois Lowry herself speaking to issues of the book.
