Horror icon Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box, Locke & Key), are in talks with showrunner Frank Darabont and AMC to write an episode for the network’s acclaimed hit show, The Walking Dead, based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman. Darabont says that King has “expressed enthusiastic interest for season 2 or possibly 3.”

Joe Hill’s award winning comic book series Locke & Key is currently being adapted for television by Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci with Dreamworks Television and 20th Century Fox. Already attached to star in Locke & Key are Miranda Otto, Sarah Bolger, Nick Stahl, and Jesse McCartney. Mark Romenek (Never Let Me Go) is attached to direct the Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) penned pilot.
