The Walking Dead Hires Two More Non-Walkers

Last week we told you that AMC’s The Walking Dead had added Pruitt Taylor Vince to its cast for season 2. We now have word of two more live-uns joining the roster for season 2. One of them is a very familiar face to many sci-fi tv fans; the other is a familiar face to tv and movie fans for many years.

Between his movie and tv work, Scott Wilson has appeared in over 70 titles, including Justified, CSI, The X-Files, and all the way back to In the Heat of the Night in 1967. No spoilers here, other than to tell you that he plays a father to a woman in her twenties.

That woman is played by the lovely Lauren Cohan, according to TV Guide. You may know her as Bela from Supernatural, Rose in The Vampire Diaries, and Vivian Volkoff on Chuck, but you may have also known her as having a British accent. Born in the US but moved to the UK,  best guess is that she’ll be using an American accent for this one.

Luckily for Scott Wilson, he’s actually from Atlanta so hopefully we’ll be able to get to hear someone’s charming natural accent, even if we don’t get to hear it from Lauren – or her now-co-worker and co-Brit Andrew Lincoln, who plays leading man Rick Grimes.

The Walking Dead is said to be returning to AMC for its second season in October.
