Back in December, we told you that Breck Eisner (The Crazies) had pitched his take on Universal Pictures‘ forthcoming film adaptation of Ouija, and McG (Terminator Salvation) also had his sights on the film and presented his vision for the project to the execs at Universal as well.

Now, THR reports that McG has now entered into formal negotiations to direct the film. The script for OUIJA was penned by TRON: Legacy writers, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes. The story is described as a four-quadrant supernatural adventure centering around a family, with influences from The Mummy and Indiana Jones.

Ouija is slated to hit theaters on November 9th, 2012.
