The Magician King Gets A Cover!


Author Lev Grossman just released the cover for The Magician King, the sequel to his fantastic contemporary fantasy, The Magicians. The design was done by French artist Didier Massard, a diorama photographer.

Yeah, that’s right. The grotto in this picture is actually a model that Massard built in his studio and then photographed. If you click on through the image below you can see the hi-res version that displays the level of detail involved in this construction.

The Magician King comes out August 9th.
