The JSA Has Arrived – New Promo And Sneak Peeks From SMALLVILLE: ABSOLUTE JUSTICE

The CW’s biggest night for “Smallville” is fast approaching!  I hope you have your calendars marked and DVRs set to record for the two-hour movie event that is “Smallville: Absolute Justice”.  The Geoff Johns-penned movie promises not to disappoint.  Executive producers, Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson talks about the monumental geekasm “Absolute Justice” will be for fans:

“It’s the arrival of the Justice Society of America.” – Kelly Souders

“None of our characters knew that a society [of heroes] had existed before them.  They thought they were the pioneers.” – Brian Peterson

Comic book and television writer Geoff Johns explains:

“The JSA has been disbanded for quite some time, for various reasons that are uncovered in the episode.  Now someone is targeting them, so Clark and his team of heroes [have to] get involved.”

According to Johns, you’d better strap in and prepare for total awesomeness:

“If you’re a JSA fan, [there] will be things you never thought you’d see on TV.”

Among the DC characters to appear in “Absolute Justice” are Hawkman (Michael Shanks), Stargirl (Britt Irvin), Doctor Fate (Brent Stait), and more.   This movie will see the return of Martian Manhunter aka John Jones (Phil Morris) and lead to the encounter with villainess Amanda “The Wall” Waller (Pam Grier) and her covert-ops agency, Checkmate.

Of course, all the fan support has bolstered and energized this first-ever “Smallville” movie event.  Souders says:

“The fans have invigorated everyone who has anything to do with this show on such an intense level.  We all wanted to try and see what we could do.”
