Just yesterday, we brought you the news that that Woody Harrelson (Zombieland, 2012) had signed on to portray Haymitch Abernathy in the Gary Ross (Pleasantville) directed big-screen adaptation of the first novel in Suzanne Collins’ best selling trilogy, The Hunger Games.

Now, Lionsgate has announced that Alexander Ludwig (Race to Witch Mountain) and Isabelle Fuhrman (Salvation Boulevard, Orphan) have been cast in the pivotal roles of Cato and Clove, the tributes from District 2. In the book, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) consider Cato and Clove their strongest competition in The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games is slated to hit theaters on March 23rd, 2012.
