The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Snags Other Half of Sibling Tribute Pair


Yesterday, we brought you news of the addition of Maria Howell to the cast of Lionsgate’s production of the second installment of The Hunger Games films. Howell will play Seeder, a former victor of the Hunger Games from District 11 reaped again for the Quarter Quell in Catching Fire.

According to Deadline, the latest to join the cast is Stephanie Leigh Schlund (The Following, The Last Song). Schlund is set to play Career Tribute, Cashmere, the sister of Gloss (Alan Ritchson), from District 1.

Synopsis:

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

This installment will be directed by Francis Lawrence and is slated to hit theaters on November 22nd, 2013.
