The Dark Knight Rises: Video and Images of the Batwing In Action On the Set

Just last week, we brought you some begin the scenes photos from the set of director Christopher Nolan‘s final installment of his Bat-trilogy The Dark Knight Rises, which is currently shooting in Pittsburgh. Thanks to an intrepid fan, we got a glimpse at a rather odd vehicle that appeared to be the Nolan Batverse’s (very Tumbler’esque) version of the Batwing.

Now, while we’re not positive it will be called the Batwing, we are positive that it’s the big, black bat’s aerial combat vehicle. A whole bunch of video, as well as pictures were nabbed of the vehicle in action and not only that, but some photos of it having a bit of a collision with a street lamp was caught in a few of the photos. Check out all the stuff below!

The last three images show the vehicle smacking into a light post and tearing off one of its wings. Nolan reportedly has only one Batwing to work with on the film, and it took his crew more than an hour to fix the damage so that they could re-shoot the scene.
