They just keep adding cast-members! You would think that so far into production, we would have had all of the casting news for the Christopher Nolan directed Bat-Film, The Dark Knight Rises. Just a couple of weeks ago, we brought you the late casting addition of Italian actor Massi Furlan (Star Trek, Aim High), but apparently it’s not going to stop there.
Now, Variety reports that Rob Brown (Coach Carter, Treme) has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. The burgeoning cast already includes Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Cane, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Judge, Josh Stuart, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Matthew Modine, Joey King, Tom Conti, Alon Aboutboul, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, Burn Gorman, Nestor Carbonell, Juno Temple and the aforementioned Massi Furlan.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale (The Fighter) again plays the dual role …of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
