Just last week, we brought you some behind the scenes pictures and videos from the set of director Christopher Nolan‘s forthcoming, final entry in his Bat-Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, which is currently filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The photos featured Tom Hardy‘s Bane, squaring off against Christian Bale‘s Batman on the steps of Gotham’s City Hall.
While there had been some uncostumed shots of Anne Hathaway walking around the Pittsburgh sets, I really didn’t think they were newsworthy enough to pop into an article, nor did I want to do the “trick the reader” thing that a lot of sites did by saying “Catwoman spotted on the set of The Dark Knight Rises” and then showing Hathaway in a sun dress walking across a parking lot (that’s stone cold hit-whoring folks).
Now, thanks to Christopher Nolan and the wonderful folks at Warner Bros. we get our first official look at the feline criminal of Nolan’s Batverse. Check it out below!

And then there are these behind the scenes pictures of Hathaway’s stunt double cruising down the steps of Gotham’s City Hall on the Batpod as well, which I’m assuming she didn’t get permission from the Bat to ride.
Some spoileriffic details about Catwoman’s storyline have emerged over on Batman-News. This is based on a tip they received and may or may not be true, but if it is… it’s a spoiler, you’ve been warned!
“Catwoman is apparently one of the most well written characters we’ve seen in these movies so far and she could potentially steal the show the way Heath Ledger did last time. She does some cool stuff in the movie like jumping out of windows and stealing the Batpod. Her back story is that she has a history of abuse and works as a stripper and is also a pickpocket.”
Another source told them that the costume Hathaway is wearing above is an early version and she will reportedly be wearing the cowl later on in the film. Though unconfirmed, this detail is plausible and being echoed around the web, so I don’t really question its validity.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ The Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale (The Fighter) again plays the dual role …of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby) reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
