Just a couple of days ago, we brought you the news about Josh Pence (The Social Network, Battleship) being cast as young Ra’s al Ghul in director Christopher Nolan‘s final installment of his Bat-Trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises.
Now, Variety reports that Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me), Diego Klattenhoff (Mercy, Homeland) and Burn Gorman (Torchwood, Johnny English Reborn) have all joined the cast. Sunjata will portray a courageous special forces operative would be vital to the story, Klattenhoff is playing a rookie cop who wants to make a difference in Gotham, and Gorman’s role is currently unknown.
Christopher Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Goyer will also produce the film with Charles Roven and Nolan’s longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas.
The Dark Knight Rises is slated to hit theaters on July 20th, 2012.
