FINALLY we may be getting a chance to see Doctor Who and Torchwood‘s John Barrowman in a Captain Jack-worthy role. He was in Desperate Housewives but that isn’t Our Kind of Show. Whether or not Torchwood: Miracle Day should be included as a Torchwood season is up to the individual to decide.

But now, EW has reported that John Barrowman has been cast, in a recurring role (hooray!), in the upcoming we’re-pinning-a-lot-of-hopes-on-this-one new series Arrow. They quote the producers as saying he’ll be playing a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy … he is an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”

Mysterious indeed. Given the tweaking that the writers have done with some of the other characters from the Green Arrow comics, there may be a couple of possibilities, or maybe it’s an entirely new character…
