And the pilot casting news continues. Today we give you news of the casting of the “Beauty” of The CW‘s Beauty and the Beast. The role has been filled by Kristin Kreuk, who is familiar to fans of Smallville as Lana, and to fans of Chuck as his alternate love interest when he was temporarily broken up with Sarah.

To be clear, this is about The CW‘s Beauty and the Beast pilot, the one that’s a remake of the 1980s TV show, not ABC’s Beauty and the Beast pilot that is based on the fairy tale, not the Beauty and the Beast story that’s going on in Once Upon a Time, and not the Beauty and the Beast movie being made by Guillermo del Toro.
