More good news for Big Bang Theory fans! CBS has renewed the hit WBTV produced show, The Big Bang Theory, for a three year deal through the 2013-2014 season. President of CBS Entertainment, Nina Tassler lauds the show:
“It doesn’t take a theoretical physicist to see why this show is a BIG part of our comedy future. From ratings to critical acclaim to pop culture buzz, it’s struck a chord on all levels. The creative genius of Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and the on-camera talents of an amazing young ensemble have created a comedy that will entertain viewers for a long time. We’re proud to partner with Warner Bros. on another highly successful, long-running comedy.”
This week, Big Bang Theory has borrowed the tall and handsome and three-time NBC Champ, Rick Fox from actress girlfriend Eliza Dushku, who had guest starred on the show earlier this season. Fox will play Glenn, Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) ex-boyfriend. Howard (Simon Helberg) will most definitely be having size issues if you know what I mean. It was actually Dushku’s suggestion to have Fox play this role. Showrunner Chuck Lorre explains:
“We thought it would be hilarious if he had dated Bernadette. Just knowing that she had been with a man who’s 6-foot-7 and perhaps one of the more handsome human beings in the world…. What that might do for Howard?
It causes Howard extreme paranoia and insecurity — as it would any man, really.”
Watch The Big Bang Theory on CBS, Thursdays at 8/7C.
