The Avengers Ready To Assemble For Production at Grumman Studios In New York


Marvel Studios is set to build sets at the massive Grumman Studios in Long Island next month, using all 160,000 square feet of the 30-acre complexes seven stages for the production of director Joss Whedon‘s (Serenity, Firefly) forthcoming superhero team-up film, The Avengers.

Grumman Studios president Parviz Farahzad told Long Island Business News that filming will take place there for several months, and Set construction is slated to begin next month. Check out the floor plan of this massive studio complex below.

The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Clark Gregg (Phil Coulson), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye).

The Avengers is slated to hit theaters on May 4th, 2012.
