The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn – International Trailer

You’ll recognize the director and executive producers. The motion-capture animation is stylized but absolutely gorgeous. The soundtrack is pure classic adventure. If this international trailer gives a taste, the movie has the potential of being a holiday banquet.

Here’s the writeup from the official site:

Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.

Based on the series of books The Adventures of Tintin by Hergé, the film is produced by Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy.

And from IMDb, “Tintin and his friends discover directions to a sunken ship commanded by Capt. Haddock’s ancestor and go off on a treasure hunt.” More impressive is who they list as one of the screenplay credits – Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock) – and actors – besides Daniel Craig there’s Simon Pegg, Cary Elwes and motion-capture king Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings).

Well, ok, enough warm-up, check out the new international trailer:
