Teen Wolf Comes to MTV Tonight: The Not-the-Eighties-Any-More Version

With a tagline of “Love. Be Afraid,” this is NOT a serialized version of Michael J. Fox’s chucklefest film from a couple of decades ago. Rather, MTV’s Teen Wolf is much closer to The Vampire Diaries but with younger and perhaps EVEN BETTER-LOOKING cast members. I’m not kidding; I’ve seen these people in person.

The panel for Teen Wolf at San Diego Comic Con last summer was a last-minute replacement for the Terra Nova panel that was scheduled and yanked. None of us in the room were amused when we heard the news. As we watched the scenes that had been filmed so far, however, most of us were pleasantly surprised. Take a look at this trailer and judge for yourself:

Starring Tyler Posey (Brothers and Sisters, Maid In Manhattan), Crystal Reed (Skyline), Dylan O’Brien (in his first role; he got the audition based on his YouTube video) and Holland Roden (The Event), Teen Wolf’s 12-episode rookie season kicks off with a two-part premiere. Part one airs on Sunday, June 5 at 11 pm, directly following the MTV Movie Awards, and part two airs the following day, Monday, June 6 at 10 pm. The show will then air weekly on Mondays at 10 pm.
