Supernatural actress Lauren Cohan (Disturbed, Death Race 2), who played the occult-object fence Bela Talbot, has been cast to play a vampire on The CW’s The Vampire Diaries. Cohan’s character is Rose, who is “over 500 years old and described as disarmingly elegant despite a ‘tough girl’ first impression.”

She will appear in the eighth episode of this season, aptly titled “Rose.” Will she be an old friend of Katherine’s? Or perhaps an old foe from this past that Katherine is running from?
