Supernatural Creator to Bring DC Comics’ DEADMAN To The CW

Not only does horror seem to be in fashion this development season, so does comics to television. The CW is now developing the comic book series Deadman for television and has signed up Eric Kripke to write and executive produce. Kripke was the creator of The CW‘s hit series Supernatural, and a showrunner through season 5.

The Deadman comic series was published by DC and written by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino.

THR reported about the show:

Deadman centers on the spirit of a trapeze artist, Boston Brand, who is murdered, and continues to live on by inhabiting other people’s bodies and helping them resolve conflicts and issues in their lives. He first appeared in October 1967. Deadman will be produced by Warner Bros.TV.

Sounds kind of Quantum Leap-ish – or chronologically, Quantum Leap was kind of Deadman-ish. Regardless, we’ll keep you posted with the progress of this project.
