2010 is no doubt the year of beautiful vampires and no show but Supernatural can harness this trend into an episode that puts vampires back into a frightening (and/ or hilarious) context. The CW show’s new episode this Friday is aptly entitled “Live Free or Twihard.”
Showrunner Sera Gamble says that this craze makes it easy for vampires in the Supernatural world to hunt:
“There’s never been a better time to be vampire because victims just fling themselves at you, because they’re like ‘Twilight‘ fans. Vampires are very vicious and kind of ugly and brutal on our show. So they’re taking advantage of the fact that girls kind of want Edward Cullen or the brothers on ‘The Vampire Diaries.‘”
