SUPERNATURAL 100th Episode Spoilers!

You saw the spoiler warning in the title of this article, right? Alrighty then, here goes:  The CW’s “Supernatural” celebrates its one hundredth episode with “the demise of a major player”. Executive producer, Sera Gamble gives a hearty helping of spoilers with this bit of intel on the milestone ep:

“A very important character will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission. We definitely kept in mind that this was [an important] episode. We wanted to deliver something with real scope; it’s about the Archangel Michael. Crises will come to a head for Dean and Castiel. And you’ll see characters you never thought you’d see again.”

This episode, entitled “Point of No Return” focuses mainly on Dean (Jensen Ackles), the destined vessel and “sword”of the Archangel Michael to kill Lucifer.

Show creator Eric Kripke revealed this about the story arc:

“We’re aiming for it to be a big mythology episode. The Archangel Michael plays a very large part as we explore his relationship with Dean.”

Sera Gamble adds to our excitement about this upcoming ep:

“We want it to feel appropriately substantial. It’s the episode where a lot of building tensions you’ll have watched over several episodes simmer over. Dean will behave in a way you’ve never seen before. So will Sam. So will Castiel (Misha Collins). Actually, I’m particularly proud of where we take Sam (Jared Padalecki) in this episode. He has a kind of maturity in dealing with Dean that it took us a hundred episodes to earn.”

Despite earlier rumors, Jensen Ackles will not be directing this episode. Executive producer Phil Sgriccia has that honor for this episode.

The show recently had their 100th Episodes party and they love their fans as much as fans love them:
