Just yesterday we told you that Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, The Day the Earth Stood Still) and Elle Fanning (Vivaldi, Somewhere) had been cast in the J.J. Abrams‘ top-secret science fiction collaboration with Steven Spielberg, entitled Super 8.

Now, THR reports that Abrams has fleshed out the rest of his main cast with the likes of Ron Eldard (Freedomland), Noah Emmerich (Beautiful Girls), Gabriel Basso (The Big C), Zach Mills (Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium), as well as relative unknowns Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths and Ryan Lee.

Super 8 started filming yesterday in Weirton, West Virginia and AICN got their hands on some pictures of the West Virginia town, after it’s transformation into 1979 Lillian, Ohio. Check them out below!
