Stephen King Wrote A “Batman”  Story and You Can Listen to it Here

I’m a big fan of podcasts. Right now I have 52 downloaded on my phone ranging from interviews and historical analyses to radio dramas and short stories of the horror, classic literature, and – of course – sci-fi varieties. I’ll get to them all eventually. After I finish Rob Inglis‘s excellent reading of The Lord of the Rings. That said, I found one that had to cut in on my Tolkien dance card.

Selected Shorts is an excellent radio show that tells stories with talented actors from screen and stage all centered around a theme. This month, the folks at Selected Shorts launched a new series called “Too Hot for Radio” which features a story by Stephen King titled Batman and Robin have an Altercation. Read by the talented Stephen Lang (Avatar, Don’t Breathe), it is a story about love, family, and dying. As the series name implies, the story is somewhat intense and may not be appropriate for some listeners; exercise some caution before listening to this one in the car with your kids.
