Star Wars: Entire Saga Hits Blu-ray Next Fall Plus First Look at a Deleted Scene from Return of the Jedi


At this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration V, director/creator George Lucas announced that next year, the entire Star Wars saga will be hitting Blu-ray. The set will feature all six live-action Star Wars feature films, with the highest picture and audio quality, along with extensive special features. Sadly, Lucas has also confirmed that the original (Han Shot First) versions will not be included on the discs.

The discs will include never-before-seen deleted scenes, including one scene from Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi that he premiered at Celebration with the help of a Jedi Knight (Mark Hamill) that you can watch in the embed below. The video of the entire main event at Celebration V in-which Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) interviews the man himself, Mr. George Lucas is included in the playlist below and the deleted scene can be found in part 8.

For the First Time Ever, the Force Will Be with You on Blu-ray! Highly Anticipated Complete Star Wars™ Saga Readied for High Definition Blu-ray Debut

The Star Wars Blu-ray Box Set will feature all six live-action Star Wars feature films utilizing the highest possible picture and audio presentation, along with extensive special features – including documentaries, vintage behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, retrospectives and never-before-seen footage from the Lucasfilm archives.
