Just yesterday, we told you that Eddie Izzard (Treasure Island, M), Ian McShane (Jack the Giant Killer), Bob Hoskins (Neverland) and Toby Jones (The Hunger Games) had joined the cast of the Rupert Sanders (The Low Dweller) directed, Snow White and the Huntsman for Universal Pictures. All four of the actors will portray dwarfs in the film. Izzard is set to portray Tiberius, the biggest dwarf of all, McShane will play the dwarf leader named Caesar, Hoskins will portray a blind dwarf named Constantine, and Jones will play a shy dwarf named Claudius.
Now, THR reports that Ray Winstone (Hugo Cabret), Eddie Marsan (Jack the Giant Killer) and Stephen Graham (The Fields) have been cast as the final three dwarfs in the film. Graham will portray an angry-looking dwarf named Nero, Marsan will play a dwarf named Hadrian and Winstone will play Trajan, the twin brother of Hadrian.
The film is said to offer a different take on the classic fairy tale, having Snow White (Kristen Stewart) banished by the evil queen (Charlize Theron), and forming a bond with the man who was sent to kill her, The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth). The Huntsman instead becomes her mentor, teaching her how to fight and defend herself.
Snow White and the Huntsman is slated to hit theaters on June 1st, 2012.
