SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN: Run, Kristen Stewart! Run!

It’s only been a little over a week since we brought you the first trailer for Universal Pictures’ dark and epic version fairytale Snow White and the Huntsman. Though we didn’t hear too much (or any) dialogue from Snow White (Kristen Stewart) in the trailer dominated by Charlize Theron’s delightfully evil queen, we do have some new shots of Stewart here filming on set.

Kristen Stewart (Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1) can be seen in the images below, running through a burning village on set in London. Still, these shots only tell us of the scale of director Rupert Sanders’ production of Snow White and the Huntsman, and not any indication of acting ability by Stewart to hold up her end of the film.

Behold. Run, Kristen Stewart! Run!

Now, I have recently suffered through the Twilight films while I was at home sick and can confidently say that Stewart has so far exhibited the acting ability equivalent to that of a stammering, angsty cheeseburger (you guys know what fan spoof I’m talking about.) So I hope that for Stewart’s sake, she’ll surprise us all with Snow White and the Huntsman.

Synopsis:

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar-winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joined the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

Snow White and the Huntsman is slated to hit theaters on June 1st, 2012.
