Snow White and the Huntsman: Hugh Jackman Being Offered Role Exited By Viggo Mortensen


Last month, Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) was confirmed for the female lead role in Universal Pictures upcoming, Rupert Sanders (The Low Dweller) directed film, Snow White and the Huntsman. Shortly thereafter, Viggo Mortensen (A Dangerous Method) who was in talks for the role of The Huntsman, ended negotiations for the role and moved on from the project.

Now, Deadline reports that Universal now has their sights set on Hugh Jackman (Real Steel) since the departure of director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan) from The Wolverine has opened up Jackman’s schedule. There’s no word on whether or not Jackman will accept the role.

Snow White and the Huntsman is slated to hit theaters on December 21st, 2012.
