Now, doesn’t the below image pose a lot of interesting questions for the tenth and final season of the CW’s Smallville? As executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders had promised, this season will “feature nods to the past nine years”. This recently released pic of Lois (Erica Durance) being strung up like Clark (Tom Welling) brings back memories, but looks to be done for remarkably different reasons.

Who strung up Lois up like that? Why is she set to burn witch-trial like? Look for these questions to be answered on the season premiere episode, entitled “Lazarus”.

Another new pic from the Smallville set is this one below featuring the return of Clark’s late adoptive father, Jonathan Kent played by John Schneider. He looks plenty real to me, so at least he’s not a ghost and Clark isn’t having a Hamlet moment. A flashback seems the most likely scenario, doesn’t it?
