Tonight’s episode of the CW’s Smallville will see the return of Aquaman, along with his wife Mera, and this visit puts things into perspective for a certain couple on the show. Word is that Clark will be popping the question to Lois sometime in the next three episodes.

In this final season of Smallville, it’s only fitting to see a progression of Lois and Clark’s relationship. Executive Producer Kelly Souders added this teaser:

“The ring will come out of the pocket. It’s something that we’ve always wanted to do. Obviously we work really closely with DC Comics and they have been fantastic this year about letting us kind of push things because it’s the end and it’s now or never. We always wanted to get the Lois and Clark relationship to that next level in the Smallville story.”

There is no official word on if we will get to see a wedding for Lois and Clark. Executive Producer Brian Peterson would only say this:

“We can’t really talk about a wedding, but that relationship is definitely progressing.”
