Ron Moore’s new series, 17th Precinct, with NBC has added a little Smallville to the Battlestar Galactica alumn-laden cast. Kristen Kreuk has been cast in the series pilot as “Susan Longstreet, the wife of Jamie Bamber’s crime scene expert.” Kruek joins Bamber, Tricia Helfer, and James Callis on the pilot of the ensemble cop drama “set in a fictional town of Excelsior where magic and with supernatural elements rule over science.”
So far the cast is making this pilot look very tempting with Helfer as a necromancer/coroner and Callis as a homicide detective. But not everyone cast so far has been tapped from BSG. Actress Stockard Channing (A Fonder Heart, The West Wing) will also play a homicide detective in 17th Precinct and Matt Long (Mad Men, The Deep End) has the role of a rookie detective.
